We sometimes run afternoon workshops to spend some extra time polishing up those skills you’re developing in the classes. Each workshop targets different skills depending on the focus of that particular session, but to give you some idea, details of past and future workshops are given below:
  1. Improvers/Intermediates: timing & leading/following
  2. We don't teach many moves at these workshops, but try instead to focus on those moves you've already got - working on leading/following, rhythm/timing, transitions between moves, and dancing smoothly and together with your partner

  3. Improvers/Intermediates: turns & spinning
  4. This workshop builds on your skills in turning and spinning, covering techniques for: travelling turns, double spins, hook turns, free spins. It includes both individual and partner work, and gives you ideas of areas to practise over time to develop your confidence and abilities in turning/spinning
Workshops run for 3 hours over an afternoon, and cost £20 per person – contact us if you’re interested, as you’ll need to book your place in advance. We limit the numbers of participants for the workshops so that you get individual attention - due to these small numbers, the cost of workshops is payable in advance and is non-refundable. If paying by cheque, please make it out to 'Purple Salsa'.

There are no workshops arranged at the moment, but we will be organising some more in the near future... Watch this space!

We also run some short courses at times (do let us know if there's something you'd like us to cover - we may be able to run a course if there's enough interest!). Do get in touch if you’re interested in one of our courses - you’ll need to book your place and pay in advance. As with our workshops, numbers are limited, and the cost of the course is non-refundable. If paying by cheque, please make it out to 'Purple Salsa'.

There are no short courses arranged at the moment, but watch this space to keep up to date with future ones!

All workshops/short courses are held at the Wokingham Without Community Association Village Hall (the same venue as the Friday classes) unless otherwise stated - click here for details and directions. Bring (non-alcoholic!) drinks and nibbles if you come to one of the workshops - the bar isn't open in the afternoons, and you'll need some sustenance!!

Look forward to seeing you there...
