Purple Salsa is based in Wokingham and tries to teach salsa in a fun way which everyone can enjoy. So, if you're interested in learning to dance, having fun, meeting new people in a friendly atmosphere, or maybe just getting a bit fitter, we hope that Purple Salsa can help.
 
If you're thinking of coming along, do have a look at our frequently asked questions page if you aren't sure what to expect! (E.g. What do I wear? Do I have to book? Do I need a partner?)
 
Don't worry if you think you've got two left feet - anyone can learn salsa, and we encourage you to take your time and enjoy yourself. The dancing will soon follow!
 
We have classes near Wokingham every Friday which are open to all, no matter what your dancing experience (our Friday classes are 'cross body style' and 'on 1'). Just turn up - we have a new 'beginners' class every week. There's no need to book, whichever class you want to come to, and you don't need to come with a partner. And there's a bar at the venue which is open for the whole evening, for those much needed drinks!!
 
We also sometimes run social events (for anyone who would like a bit more time to practise what they’ve learnt!), and workshops/short courses (for brushing up various skills, or learning some new ones!).

Regular classes
Friday nights (at the Pinewood Centre):
  • Weekly 'drop-in' classes
  • 8.00-8.45pm Beginners salsa class
  • 8.45-9.30pm Improvers salsa class
  • 9.30-10pm general dancing
  • £6 for the whole evening
Thursday nights (at the Pinewood Centre):
  • Please note, these classes are NOT currently running
Wednesday nights (at MazFit Gym, Forest Road, Wokingham RG40 5QY):
  • Weekly course of salsa classes (approx 8-week block)
  • 7.15-8.15pm Beginners/Beginners Plus class (times may vary depending on numbers)
