Weekly Salsa Classes
Below you will find details of our regular Friday classes (we also run one-off social events and workshops/short courses if you're looking for something a bit different!). Try our Frequently Asked Questions page if you need more information... Or do feel free to contact us if you can’t find what you are looking for - we love to hear from you!

***Due to holidays and a rather important wedding(!), there will be NO Friday sessions on: 16th, 23rd and 30th July. We are running throughout August though, so hope to see you then if not before!!***

Classes
Our weekly classes run every Friday and are open to all levels of dancer (click here to find out more about what we cover). You can turn up any week - there are new 'beginners' classes every Friday. And there's no need to bring a partner!
Beginners (level 1) 8:00 - 8:45pm
For people who have never done any salsa before, and who are working on the basic steps and the rhythm.
Improvers (level 2) 8:45 - 9:30pm
For people who know the basic steps and are confident with the salsa rhythm, cross body lead and the basic turns.
General dancing 9:30 - 10pm
Stay on and enjoy the dancing after the classes! This is a great time to practise and to have fun with what you've learned, or to chat and have a well earned drink!

For example:
  • Beginners + Improvers + general dancing = £6
  • Improvers + general dancing = £6
  • General dancing only = £3
Our Friday classes are held at The Pinewood Bar and Cafe (click here for details and directions). There is plenty of parking at the venue, and a bar which is open 7-11pm.

General
Wear loose, comfortable clothing, and it's best (although not essential) to avoid trainers and sandals as these are much harder to dance in. And flip flops are near impossible! See more about salsa for other general information.

Not feeling confident about coming to a class just yet? Or maybe you've got something very specific you want to work on? You may want to try a private lesson.
